PicoJet PJ-N256
INDUSTRIAL INK JET PRINTHEAD
- Breakthrough Manufacturing Technology
- Stainless Steel Design For Better Reliability
- Low Cost Alternative
- Maximized Ink Compatibility
The PicoJet PJ-N256 piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead is the
first robust all stainless steel ink jet printhead offered for use
in the industrial printing industry. The PJ-N256 is manufactured
using PicoJet’s patented intermetallic bonding process. This
break through bonding technology allows PicoJet to join each of
the printhead laminates together, including the orifice plate, using
a metal welding process. The resulting bond makes for an amazingly
robust, all metal printhead that eliminates the need for adhesives
that can interact with ink chemistries.
The bend mode piezoelectric printhead design also eliminates ink
contact with the piezoelectric ceramic material. By bonding the
piezoceramic to a stainless steel diaphragm, ceramic contaminants
are prevented from entering the fluid channels and causing nozzle
blockage. This design also allows for the use of ink chemistries
that were previously unavailable due to ink conductivity issues.
The PJ-N256 is also available in a complete eight printhead module
configured to deliver four color printing at 300 dpi. The module
eliminates the need for the majority of electronic integration by
providing all the nozzle mapping and drive electronics necessary
for printing. The PJ-M8-256 Module is easy to integrate and dramatically
